Megumi’s Travel Blog – the Journey & the Storyteller

About Megumi – Travel Writer & Photographer

This is where I gather the insights and small discoveries that travel has given me. Through my writing, photographs, and videos, I share moments from my journeys across Asia and Australia—stories of connection, culture, and the quiet ways being on the road keeps changing how I see the world.

For me, travel is about stripping away the surface and finding the quiet moments that reshape how you see the world. I’m keen on more retrospective journey over bullet-point itineraries, seeking out the conversations that linger, the rituals of daily life that reveal a place’s true character. Photography has become my language for capturing what I can’t always articulate — the light on a stranger’s face, the texture of weathered buildings, the stories hidden in small details. These fleeting moments, once preserved, become bridges between worlds.

On A Seeker’s Journey, you’ll find thoughtfully crafted destination guides paired with personal reflections on what it means to truly experience a place. I share my experiences for people seeking meaningful trips, and honest conversations about the challenges and joys of travel. While Asia holds a special place in my heart, the stories here span wherever curiosity has led me — each one grounded in authentic experience and real wanderlust. My spiritual journey began in India — read about it in A Seeker’s Journey to India: Where my Spiritual Journey Began.

Whether you’re planning your next adventure, looking to refine your travel photography and writing, or simply seeking stories that remind you why exploration matters — I’d love to have you here. Let’s connect, collaborate, and build a community of travelers who believe in the transformative power of genuine, thoughtful journeys. Your stories and questions are always welcome.
